Tingley beat Wortley Boys in a thriller ….

With a few changes the under 8,s played thier final game of the season against the very good Wortley Boys team , with no keeper the boys did half each and amazingly George Thornton kept out Wortley in the first half ,Tingley totally outplayed Wortley ,yet the best performance by a away keeper kept the game level at 0-0 at half time.again after the break Tingley were on top, then with a minute left a deflected shot beat stand in keeper Brad Colbeck to give Wortley a narrow victory ,the result was very harsh on the boys who only gave 2 chances to Wortley in the whole game.

The same teams played game 2 this time Wortley took a early lead ,but this time Tingley responded with some fine attacking football Brad Frost got his customary hat trick in between 2 more goals from Wortley wuth 2 minutes left a Blaine Buxton corner was met by Daniel Cowell on the volley and the ball rifled into the bottom corner to give Tingley a thouroughly deserved victory in by far and away thier best performance of the season ,debutant Brad Colbeck was fantastic in midfield with Dan Cowell and Blaine Buxton Brad Frost as usual was lethal feeding on passes from the midfield and the defence and stand in keepers were awsome Kalem Sheldon and Ewan Haigh and  George Thornton were superb at keeping out a very good Wortley attack ,but a special mention goes to Brandon Megson who had a perfect defensive game and showed that he has has come on leaps and bounds in the last few weeks so he won the mom trophy mast improved went to Ewan but against the best team we have played all season by far the team all had to produce a mom performance to end the season on a high .Well done boys this season played 14 won 8 drawn 2 lost 4 .
