Tingley Athletic Host Young Lions from Tranmere
April 18th saw Tingley Athletic play host to Young Lions from Tranmere in a specially organised event designed to foster new links between both clubs.
The event featured four age groups with Tingley’s U7s, U10 Corinthians, U11s, U12s Titans facing off against a group of well organised teams from Merseyside, with honours being shared between the age groups and the two clubs and Young Lions graciously supplying player awards for both teams/clubs with Tingley laying on a full tuck-shop and use of the clubs facilities.
Lions’ organiser George Ringrose commented “It’s a great opportunity for the Young Lions Football Club to open up new and hopefully long lasting links with forward looking and likeminded junior football clubs around the north of England”. George went on to offer a return visit to Tingley Athletic once their own new facility had been completed.
