Tigers Tamed !!!!

After a long break we had our first under 8 fixture against our closest rivals the Tingley Tigers to see who gets the braging rights in WF3 at under 8 level.After the game anyone left in any doubt would know which team is on the up.In the first game of the season we were handed out a lesson by the Tigers and in the second game we scraped a draw ,however in the reverse fixture our boys showed how they learnt from that game and ended up winning both games by a aggregate of 10-1 !!! .
In the first game we had Thomas Conlon making his debut for us in goal ,and he proved how good he was with a cracking early save with his feet.From then on the boys took control after a fine pass from Blaine Buxton Daniel Cowell slid the ball over the oncoming keeper for the opener ,then in the second half Brad Frost helped himself to 2 after another couple of superb passing moves .The defence were rarely troubled thanks to the work of Brandon Megson, George Thornton ,Kalem Sheldon, and Ewan Haigh.
In game 2 a Brad frost hat trick 2 from Dan Cowell and 1 from Blaine Buxton gave Tingley a 7-1 victory ,goal of the game was Dan,s flick over his head and over 2 defenders and curling finish into the top corner stunning and a conteneder for our goal of the season ,again all played thier part in a stunning transformation from the earlier season game v the Tigers ,who incidently had beaten Farsley Celtic in thier previous game and were fancied to win this one.Man of the Match voted by parents was Dan Cowell not just for the special goal but his all round tackling, passing ,and total commitment to the team.Most improved went to our keeper Thomas Conlon who was faultless and had it been another day he could well of won the MOM award .
