Mums Gala
By Ann Housecroft on Jul 13, 2009 with Comments 2
On Saturday 11th July, the mighty Mums of Tingley took to the field in the guise of England and Croatia. Meeting opposition from Batley (Ireland and Brazil) and Wigton Moor (Holland). England and Croatia were extremely successful and went on to the semis where they were beaten by Ireland and Brazil in a thrilling penalty shootout.

Thanks to all the mums who took part:
Croatia (Pink) Manager Amy Greenwood
Mags Bannister (Chairwoman and U15 Girls/Ardsley), Trish Tuck (U16 Girls), Helen Nicholson (U16 Girls), Helen Garside (U10 Boys), Tracy Tomlinson (U11 Boys)
England (White) Manager Paige Crosby
Anita Bilton (U11/U16 Boys), Yvonne Harvey (U11 Boys), Sarah Rushforth (U18 Boys), Bernie Smith (OA Ladies) and a massive thanks to Tracey Davis (U11 Boys) who came back from holiday to play in the team. (Ann Housecroft was in both teams due to her own stupidity).
Trish Tuck won the best goal celebration of the day and Yvonne Harvey won the best goal of the day (along with her hubby who also won the raffle). Thanks to all the Tingley supporters and to Batley Juniors who put on a great gala. We will all be nursing our cuts and bruises and truly appreciate what you lot do week in week out.
