Kirkstall Crusdaers 5, TAC FC 1

This Sunday saw the Corinthians travel away for the first time this season. After a wonderful 3-0 win at home, the visit to Kirkstall Crusaders, joint top of the league, was always going to be a test.

The game started brightly and the Corinthians seemed to be holding their own, but it was the Crusaders who got on the score sheet first.

Midway through the 1st half the Crusaders were 3-0 up and looked to be in total control of the game. But the Corinthians dug deep and were awarded a penalty as the Crusdarers keeper brought down an attacking Corinthian.

The penalty was taken with aplomb by Saddington which took the game to 3-1.
The Corinthians rallied and played the best spell of the game in the final 20 minutes of the first half, and were unlucky to go in 3-1 down after a one-on-one with the Crusaders keeper went sailing over the cross bar.

The Corinthians continued the endeavor in the second half and were awarded another penalty for deliberate hand ball by a Crusaders defender, which gave the referee no option but to send him off.

Unfortunately it was not the Corinthians day as the penalty was saved by the keeper.

The Corinthians had a good second half conceding only 2 goals. The final score 5-1, was not a true reflection of how even the game was at times, and the Corinthians can feel disappointed they did not get something from the game.
