Middleton u 13’s V  Tingley  Corinthians u 13’s .   20/11/11. ko  12.30 pm.

Tingley Corinthians made the short away journey to a very foggy Middleton today, and were in front inside the first 2 minutes when a quick break through the middle found Adam in space to shoot from the edge of the box to open the scoring for Tingley. 0-1.

Straight from the kick off  Tingley won the ball and Ewan made a strong run into the box and drove the ball low into the bottom corner for Tingleys second. 0-2.

It was a great start from Tingley who continued to put pressure on the home side, and were looking very assured and passing the ball well, with Adam & Charlie working well in the middle.

But against the run of play it was Middleton who broke quickly and the forward made a good run into the box to finish well to put them back in the game. 1-2.

But Tingley did not let that affect their game and they continued to take the game to the home side, and when Ewan made a superb run down the left to cut the ball back to Charlie who laid the ball off to Spud who hit a first time strike from 20 yards over the keeper and into to top corner of the net to give Tingley some breathing space at 1-3.

Adam was next to go close when he rounded the keeper but shot just wide, but shortly after Tingley struck again, when  a great shot by Ewan was well saved by the keeper, but he could only palm the shot out to Andrew who was quickest to react and slid the ball home for Tingleys fourth goal. 1-4.

Ewan was causing real problems down the left side with his pace and made a superb solo run from his own area into the oppositions area, took the ball round the keeper but saw his shot roll agonisingly wide of the far post.

Spud was having a good game at left back and played Andrew through on goal, but was defended well.

That was the last action of a superb first half display by Tingley to go in 1-4 up.

Tingly started the second half, and after a  superb passing move found Jack in space, his shot was just over the bar, but moments later after another great move found Jack in space again he made no mistake and shot low into the corner for Tingleys fifth .1-5.

Cornthians were now running riot and creating chance after chance and it was great to see the confidence flooding back through the team.

Jordan was unlucky to see his great effort come back off the bar, and then after a great cross from M.J, Jordan just could not get a touch on the ball as it rolled across the 6 yard box.

But after more Tingley pressure resulted in a corner, M.J swung the ball deep into the box where Adam rose well to head home for number six. 1-6.

This was followed shortly after by number seven, when Jack broke into the area, and coolly slotted home from 8 yards. 1-8.

After another quick raid down the left the ball was crossed into the area for Jack to slide home for a superb second half Hat trick and put Tingley 1-9 up.

Tingley were not finished yet and were determined to keep pushing forward and were rewarded again after another quick break found Andrew in the clear to finish well, for number 10. 1-10.

There was just time for one more Tingley attack, when Andrew found himself in space in the Middleton box, but he was brought crashing down with a crude tackle from behind, and up stepped M.J to bury the penalty into the top corner giving the keeper no chance. 1-11.

That was the last action of a superbly entertaining match, especially given the thick fog and heavy surface conditions.

This was a superb performance from the boys, who worked tirelessly for each other from the first whistle to the last, and at last saw all  their hard work rewarded, which resulted in seven different players getting on the score sheet.

Well done Boys !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A special mention for todays  Man of the Match award which goes to M.J  for a superb hard working performance.

The outstanding effort award goes to  Charlie for another tireless performance.

Well done !!!!
